Summary

Furious, Katsuki Bakugo cuts off a call from Tenya Ida with an order to stay on the core, then throws himself at Izuku Midoriya again. Izuku tells Ochaco Uraraka to press on without him, and she goes. He answers Katsuki by binding a leg with capture tape, but an explosive right hook tears him loose, a swing Izuku slips because he has studied this fighting style for years. Recognizing how dangerous his opponent is, Izuku breaks away to think, which only stokes Katsuki's temper. Stalking the halls after him, Katsuki turns over memories of childhood, of standing above everyone while Izuku was nothing but a Quirkless nobody, and of Izuku reaching out to help him after a fall. The recollection makes him angrier still.

Ochaco, meanwhile, arrives at the room housing the nuclear core, where Tenya stands watch. She settles in to hide until Izuku catches up, but a giggle at Tenya's theatrical villain act gives her away. Tenya announces that he anticipated her and scrubbed the floor spotless beforehand, denying her the debris she would need to trick him.

Still keeping out of sight, Izuku radios Ochaco, who gives her position as the middle room of floor five. Katsuki then tracks him down and demands to know why he refuses to use One For All. He explains that his hero costume's bracers collect the sweat that fuels his Explosion Quirk, and with enough of it stored, he pulls the pin and unleashes a blast that tears through a large section of the building. Izuku survives and calls him insane, while Katsuki, shaking with rage, insists that Izuku finally use his Quirk.
