American voice actor and longtime Funimation ADR veteran Mike McFarland has voiced Ojiro and Ectoplasm in My Hero Academia and become the English dub's ADR and voice director as of Season 7.
McFarland provides the English voices of Mashirao Ojiro, the tail-Quirk student of Class 1-A, and Ectoplasm, one of U.A. High's teaching staff, in My Hero Academia. Starting with the show's seventh season he moved from cast member to ADR and voice director for the English dub, taking over a production role previously led by Colleen Clinkenbeard.
McFarland's signature credit is playing the original English-language incarnation of Master Roshi, alongside Yajirobe, across Funimation's two Dragon Ball series. He has also lent his voice to Teppei Sugo for the psychological thriller Psycho-Pass, played Jean Havoc opposite the State Military in Fullmetal Alchemist, brought Buggy the Clown to life in the One Piece dub, and voiced Jean Kirstein for the soldiers of Attack on Titan. On the directing side, he has helmed English-language production for Case Closed, Fullmetal Alchemist, and Attack on Titan, plus the Rebuild of Evangelion film series and the standalone feature Summer Wars.
