One of the war saga's largest arcs, this Part II stretch turns two Uchiha into hosts for the Ten-Tails, unleashes Guy's forbidden Eighth Gate, introduces the Sage of Six Paths, and closes as Madara finally casts the Infinite Tsukuyomi across the world.
Positioned late in Part II, this arc carries the Fourth Shinobi World War toward its climax and precedes Kaguya Ōtsutsuki Strikes. The anime divides it in two, first as a stretch centered on Obito and then as the chapter leading into the moon-wide genjutsu. Across the manga it spans the sixty-seventh through seventieth volumes.
Having claimed the Ten-Tails, Obito takes on a form echoing the Sage of Six Paths and shrugs off attack after attack, healing himself while cancelling the reincarnated Hokage's regeneration through Yin-Yang Release. Naruto works out that ninjutsu barely scratches him but natural energy does, and after failing to reach Tailed Beast Mode alone, he bumps fists with his father so the two halves of Kurama can reconnect. Obito answers by molding the beast into a colossal tree meant to bloom the flower that triggers the Infinite Tsukuyomi, draining chakra from every shinobi it grabs.
As despair spreads, Hashirama's wood clone shares his memory of the first gathering of the five Kage and rallies the alliance, and the current village leaders arrive together as a united front. Naruto and Sasuke fuse Tailed Beast Mode with Susanoo, the Konoha 11 shatter Obito's shield, and Sasuke's blade cuts through him so Naruto can siphon the captive beasts back out. Reaching the broken man through their link, Naruto insists he is still Obito Uchiha, and the tailed beasts are set loose. Kakashi warps home from his dimension and stops Sasuke from finishing him.
Black Zetsu then seizes Obito's body and forces the Samsara of Heavenly Life technique onto Madara, who returns in the flesh. The elder Uchiha siphons Hashirama's sage power, wrenches the beasts away with chains from the Demonic Statue, and tears Kurama out of Naruto, leaving him at death's door. Madara runs Sasuke through with a stolen sword, then seals the revived Ten-Tails inside himself to become its new host. Sakura keeps Naruto alive by opening his side and pumping his heart, while Kabuto arrives to mend Sasuke.
To buy time, Might Guy opens the Gate of Death and evolves into a crimson beast, landing the staggering Night Guy on Madara. Meanwhile Naruto wakes within his own mind before Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki, who names him and Sasuke the reincarnations of his sons Asura and Indra and grants each a share of his power. The two return marked with sun and moon symbols, Naruto restoring Guy's fading life and Kakashi's lost eye as the fight against Madara resumes.
Madara reclaims his second Rinnegan from Obito, exposes the third eye on his brow, and casts the Infinite Tsukuyomi onto the moon, bathing the world in light that traps nearly every living soul in a dream. Only the reincarnated Hokage and Team 7, shielded by Sasuke's Susanoo, stay awake, setting the stage for the arrival of Kaguya in the arc that follows.

We ranked the six most popular women of Naruto from worst to first, and our number one is going to start a fight. The official poll got it wrong....

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
