A (Second Raikage)

Dark-skinned, with a wide, flattened nose and shadowed eyes ringed by markings, this Cloud leader wore his black hair to shoulder length in an unusual arrangement. A shaped beard narrowed into a goatee, and his sideburns curled inward beneath the eyes. A rectangular gold mark sat on his nose. For dress he took the Cloud standard, a white headband plate over a high-necked shirt lined with mesh armour, then layered on a modified village flak jacket studded with what looked like medals, plus a plated guard across the right shoulder in the manner of a samurai.

In the years before his promotion he favoured a dark long-sleeved top left open to reveal the mesh underneath, a scarf looped at the neck, dark trousers, and a plain forehead band.

He took up the founding Raikage's fierce commitment to safeguarding the Cloud as his own. Warm in manner and sharp of mind, he showed a real command of political matters that marked him as a capable and intelligent diplomat.

For a long stretch he served as the personal guard of the first Raikage, a role that took him to the inaugural gathering of the five Kage, where he kept watch behind his master as the talks played out. That steady loyalty eventually won him the office of Second Raikage. During his rule he formalised a pact with the Hidden Leaf, but the signing turned bloody when the Gold and Silver Brothers ambushed both him and the Second Hokage in a bid to seize power, leaving the two leaders barely clinging to life. Even so, his efforts moved the Cloud closer to a lasting peace.

Generations later, after Kaguya Ōtsutsuki was sealed away by Naruto and Sasuke, Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki drew him and the other fallen Kage back from the Pure Land to help wrench Madara Uchiha, the tailed beasts, and Team 7 out of Kaguya's dimension, and once the task was done his spirit was returned to rest.
