Personality

Battle makes Amagi restless; to his mind, holding back for an opening merely lets the enemy steady itself and hit back. He is fierce about paying back the deaths of allies, even pushing for Kajura to be executed over his slain comrades until Kankuro talked him out of it. He also clings to the teachings passed down by the revered Sage of the Six Paths, prizing ninshu above all.

History

Amagi has weathered a great many fights since his first, and in combat he flings small, keen daggers and kozura, blades mounted to sword scabbards, with genuine flair, though Kankuro remarks that they are simple enough to bat away. He can also run chakra threads through the kozura to steer them, turning each into something close to a homing blade.

Sent to apprehend Kajura, a rogue ninja out of Ishigakure, Amagi saw the man slaughter his comrades and threw himself into the fray. He loosed a volley of daggers and kozura against the enemy's Iron Sand form, only to be jolted with lightning and left hovering near death, though he bounced back quickly. Once Kankuro had beaten and captured the villain, Amagi urged that he be killed to avenge the fallen, but the jonin countered that no death would bring their teammates back and that a true shinobi is one who endures. So the boy fell in with his squadmates from the Counter-Terrorism Division and started back to the village. Later, thrown by Kankuro's choice to succeed Gaara as Kazekage, Amagi pressed him on whether it was truly his wish, and when Tojuro's treachery surfaced, he slipped in behind the man and pinned him.
