Doseki Ganryū

Doseki is a big boy with round, plump cheeks and grey eyes. His brown hair is short and curly, but the feature that stands out most is the thick unibrow across his brow. For clothes he favors a green T-shirt and brown trousers cinched with a black cloth.

Like the other children in his class, Doseki is an inquisitive sort, and he keeps a curious eye on the comings and goings of princess Kae and Kawaki.

Doseki joins the Academy's newest class at its opening ceremony, placed under the fresh teacher Hana Kaka among classmates that include the offspring of famous figures, the Hokage's daughter, the older Kawaki, and Kae Yukiwari, princess of the Land of Bamboo. A practice session pairs him with Ran Sogi and Yuina Itomaki to learn teamwork in threes. When the class stages a play about the Sannin, he helps build the set under Neon's direction and pitches in on repairs after Kawaki's scuffle damages it, then helps arrange the stalls and decorations for the school festival.

A terrorist threat keeps him indoors during the event, and afterward he joins his classmates in welcoming their hospitalized teacher back. To replace the cancelled festival, Hana takes the class for survival training on a deserted island, where vanished food and rumors of missing-nin unsettle everyone; Doseki and Tao argue for searching the island in force, but Kawaki warns against it given their weakened surveillance. In the end the students band together to rescue Kae from the assassin posing as Hana, and once the crisis passes they finally perform their Sannin play before seeing the princess off at the station.
