Garakuta Gang Leader

Broad and heavyset, the gang leader keeps his dark hair cropped short and wears a beard. Two scars mark his face, a long one running down the right cheek and a smaller one tucked below the left eye. He layers a burgundy long-brimmed tank top over a black turtleneck, with pale trousers cinched by a lilac belt and high-topped boots below. Long wristbands cover his forearms, and a dark traveling cloak hangs from his shoulders.

Arrogant and coarse, he thinks nothing of striking down the helpless or even young genin girls to get what he wants. Greed drives him above all, and he hunts for anything that will fetch a fortune, with the First Hokage's scroll chief among his prizes.

He wields enough ninjutsu to open an Earth Release swamp that swallows and pins anyone caught in it, and his leadership runs deep, as his gang follows his orders without question even through their own fear. He is shrewd as well, correctly guessing that the merchants he targeted would try to trick him. On an early job, his crew moved against a caravan Team 15 was guarding, only for Namida Suzumeno's sobbing to knock every last one of them out and see them arrested. When the team next escorted merchants carrying the First Hokage's scroll, the leader joined the raid himself, hanging back to watch as his men seized the goods and drew Hanabi and Nue into pursuit. Certain the merchants had hidden the true scroll, he floated decoy water clones to bait the enemy leader away, then ambushed the near-defenceless traders in the forest. He sank the girls into his swamp, took the scroll, and turned to leave, but Namida's piercing wail caught up with him and struck him down.
