Gōza

A ghutrah wraps over most of Gōza's brown hair, leaving little of it in view. His eyes are dark, and a thick beard covers the lower half of his face. For dress he keeps to the formal look of Suna's elders: a dark kimono layered beneath a pale haori, with a poncho worn over the top.

Those around him describe Gōza as composed and clear-headed, a man who keeps his temper and thinks matters through before he speaks. His measured nature suits his role among the village's advisors.

As one of the elders on Sunagakure's advisory council, Gōza ranks among the village's most seasoned and respected minds. When Gaara, the Fifth Kazekage, is seized by Akatsuki, he joins the other Seniors to weigh the emergency. His chief worry is the village's reputation: he dreads the humiliation Suna would face should outside nations learn that its leader had been carried off by one of their own defectors, Sasori, and he fears for the settlement's stability with its Kage gone. In the anime, once the Sand Siblings return from the Kage Summit, Gōza sits with the council again to review the conference and chart Sunagakure's next steps.
