Little of Hōki's combat skill is detailed beyond his genin standing. He carried enough drive to clear the exam's opening written test, but his limited stamina left him unable to hold out through the Forest of Death.
History
Hōki entered the Chūnin Exams as one of many hopefuls. Swayed by Naruto's speech before the tenth question, he committed to continuing and passed the first stage with flying colors, only to run out of strength later and wash out of the Forest of Death.
