Hōki is a genin from Takigakure who tried his luck at the Chūnin Exams. He cleared the written phase on the strength of Naruto's rallying words, but his endurance failed in the Forest of Death, ending his run short of promotion.
Hōki has curly brown hair, drawn spikier in the manga, above black eyes. He layers a grey shirt over a blue jacket and ties on a blue Takigakure forehead protector.
Little of Hōki's combat skill is detailed beyond his genin standing. He carried enough drive to clear the exam's opening written test, but his limited stamina left him unable to hold out through the Forest of Death.
Hōki entered the Chūnin Exams as one of many hopefuls.
