History
Longing for peace, Kie signs on with the independent band known as Akatsuki. One of the group's trials leaves him hurt enough to wear his arm in a sling, and at a later meeting he assures Konan that he, like the rest, stands behind Nagato and Yahiko. His story most likely ends when Obito Uchiha strikes the Akatsuki down as they march to rescue Nagato, Konan, and Yahiko from Hanzo and Konoha's Anbu. Before the fourth databook clarified his name, the anime credits listed him as Monjin.
