Personality

Leh shows a sharp instinct for who his letters truly belong to. Handed a message meant for the Sixth Hokage, he kept trying to press it on Kakashi Hatake, baffling Nanara, who had no idea that Kakashi and the Sixth were one and the same. His loyalty runs to action too. When Nanara was seized during Redaku's unrest, the hawk turned on his captor to free him.

Abilities

Leh's defining trait is his range. He can cover the long flight between Redaku and Konohagakure in only a few days, a distance Nanara refused to believe possible until Kakashi produced the old king's letters as proof. Beyond simple delivery he can guide a person to a destination and strike at a threat, leading Nanara to the Prime Minister after breaking him loose.

History

Under Redaku's previous king, Leh shuttled letters to and from the Sixth Hokage in the Land of Fire, needing only days for the round trip. After that king died, the hawk passed to Nanara and relocated with him to Nagare Village. When Redaku began plotting an invasion of the Land of Fire, Nanara wanted to meet the Sixth Hokage in person to head it off, but Kakashi suggested sending a letter by Leh as the simpler course and convinced Nanara the bird could manage the journey.

Leh returned bearing a reply from the Seventh Hokage that accepted terms to avert the invasion, which touched off a civil war in Redaku. Amid the fighting the hawk freed the captured Nanara and led him to the Prime Minister, helping Nanara and Kakashi bring the war to an end. Months later, with Nanara now king, Leh delivered a parcel from the Seventh Hokage, a copy of Icha Icha Paradise that Kakashi had promised him.
