Mazuma Izuno

Slender and fair-skinned, Mazuma wears her wavy blond hair at shoulder length, mostly loose with the top gathered into a bun, and round black glasses. Her style leans bohemian: a plain brown band around her brow, a beaded necklace, and a long grey open robe trimmed in blue over a dark grey shirt, blue trousers with a brown belt, and brown boots.

Mazuma is a spirited woman who pours her passion into doting on Wasabi, freely voicing her belief in the girl's potential. That fervour has a blind spot, however, as she can miss her daughter's own hopes and feelings and unintentionally load her with expectation.

When Wasabi advanced to the final round of the Chunin Exams, Mazuma and the rest of the family celebrated the achievement even before the exams had finished. On the day of the finals they looked in on her ahead of her bout to share their confidence. During the match, Mazuma overheard Wasabi tell Iwabee Yuino how heavily the family's hopes pressed on her, and that becoming Hokage, the dream her parents kept wishing on her, was not her own goal; Mazuma covered young Amagi's ears so the girl would not hear. Still, the family beamed with pride when Wasabi used the clan's Cat God Possession technique to shield Iwabee.
