Personality
On first sight Morio comes across as furtive, hovering near the medical compound and tucking himself into the shadows, yet underneath he is gentle and painfully shy. The moment Sakura mends his injuries he grows smitten, even penning her a love letter, which she declines with kindness, telling him her heart is already spoken for.
History
Morio first appears within the medical division's logistical-support compound while Sakura Haruno tends to him. His habit of loitering near the barracks catches the eye of a disguised Neji Hyuga on more than one occasion. Later he returns to her tent and presses the letter into her hands, confessing that she has been on his mind ever since she healed him and that he wants her to keep it in case he does not live through the war. She thanks him warmly, but admits there is already a man she cares for. Hearing that, he apologises for imposing, remarks that the fellow must count himself lucky, and walks out with a heavy sigh.
