History
A skilled medic with generally sound chakra control, Ryōkan still could not, even with his mentor Sekka at his side, save Kankurō, and the failure cut him deeply. After Sasori's poison struck Kankurō and he was hauled back from the desert during the Kazekage Rescue Mission, Ryōkan and Sekka tried to treat him without success. He then lent his aid to Sakura Haruno, who managed to draw the poison out and brew an antidote, healing Kankurō at last.
