A sensor-type ninja from Iwagakure, Sagan served in the Fourth Shinobi World War as part of the Fourth Division. He lived through Madara Uchiha's opening onslaught and could only watch as the resurrected Uchiha overwhelmed nearly every fighter beside him.
Long brown hair spills down to Sagan's back, and a stray fringe covers the left half of his face. For clothing he takes the usual Iwagakure loadout: a two-sleeved shirt worn over a layer of mesh armour. His red forehead protector is knotted bandanna-style rather than laid across the brow.
On the battlefield Sagan comes across as even-tempered and hard to rattle. That composure cracked when he saw the five Kage take on Madara, and once he had measured the reborn Uchiha's might he bleakly decided that he and his fellow soldiers stood no chance.
Fielded with the Fourth Division for the war, Sagan numbered among the small group left standing after Madara's first strike tore across the field. He crossed to Onoki and reported that the Tsuchikage clung to life despite grievous wounds, a state his sensory gift let him read even without medical training, just as his sensing had earlier fixed the positions of Madara and Mu so he could warn the rest. As the devastation mounted he raised the alarm again when the two enemies re-formed, then watched in horror while Madara kept grinding down the shrinking division. The arrival of the five Kage left him awestruck at the duel of giants and painfully aware of how far out of his league he stood. In the aftermath he gave chase to Mu together with Dodai and the platoon guarding the Hokage, witnessing the spirit slip free as the Impure World Reincarnation came undone.
