Shikazo

Appearance
Shikazo is elderly, his short hair gone grey. He dresses in a loose white uniform of a martial-arts cut, cinched with a white belt, and wears a matching white warmer on each wrist and ankle. His outfit is completed by green shorts and sandals.
Personality
Little is shown of Shikazo beyond his handling of money. When Kageki, having lent him funds, later asked to be paid back for the sake of his family, Shikazo turned him down flatly, a refusal that led directly to the fatal quarrel between them.
History
Kageki had once lent money to Shikazo, but when he needed it returned to support his family, Shikazo refused. The argument turned physical, and during the struggle Shikazo fell and struck his head against a pickling stone, killing him. Kageki's twin brother, Katazu, then shouldered the blame, drawing away those who came seeking revenge so that Kageki and his family could go into hiding. The task of avenging Shikazo fell to Tsukado, who would have to kill Katazu, the man believed responsible for his relative's death.
