Shinku Yuhi

Shinku shares his daughter Kurenai's striking, ringed crimson eyes along with black hair, set above a notably strong jaw. He wears the standard Konoha uniform with somewhat longer sleeves than usual, a flak jacket, shinobi sandals, and his forehead protector tied bandanna-style. A sword rides vertically across his right shoulder, while a small cylindrical item sits strapped to his lower back.

Shinku holds fast to the Will of Fire, believing the village's young shinobi are its future and must be shielded rather than thrown into a hopeless fight. When the Nine-Tailed Demon Fox attacked, he sealed the younger ninja behind a barrier to keep them clear of the battle, brushing aside his daughter's protests. He reminded Kurenai that a shinobi's life may prove long or short, and asked that she live on long enough to bear him a grandchild who could carry the Will of Fire forward.

As an instructor trusted with shaping the village's genin and chunin, Shinku's competence is well established. He keeps a blade on him at all times, which points to genuine skill in kenjutsu, and his standing as a training officer speaks to a broad command of the shinobi arts.
