Personality

In everyday moments the three are gentle and easygoing companions. That mildness falls away the instant a battle begins, when their fighting instincts take over.

History

As ninken of the Inuzuka, the brothers fight in concert with Hana, the four of them able to spin at blistering speed to overwhelm a foe together with the Fang Rotating Fang. The anime shows that ahead of the Konoha invasion, Hana and the dogs were sent to look into reports of a disturbance and crossed paths with Kabuto Yakushi, whom she sent home. When Suna and Oto struck, the trio joined Tsume Inuzuka, Kuromaru, and Hana in repelling the attackers. They also feature in a memory of Kiba first meeting Akamaru as a boy, and they waited in his room, alongside other clan dogs, when he came back wounded from the effort to retrieve Sasuke Uchiha and Hana tended Akamaru. On a separate mission to track down Akamaru and dose him with a possible cure, the three drew his attention while Hana moved in with the drug. Years later, during the Fourth Shinobi World War, one of them fought at Hana's side as part of the Fifth Division's push to back up the Second, using the Fang Rotating Fang to shred White Zetsu Army clones as they surfaced from underground.
