Appearance

Two long bangs frame Tokuma's face, and the rest of his spiky brown hair falls to his shoulders. Like every member of his clan, he has the pale, pupil-less Hyūga eyes. He dresses in Konoha's standard-issue gear, wearing a flak jacket and tying his forehead protector in the bandanna style. His colours shifted between appearances, running black at his anime debut and blue when he later returned.

Personality

Tokuma comes across as calm and clear-headed. He is also markedly selfless: when his squad needed to break away from Akatsuki's Surprise Attack and Diversion Platoon, he was willing to stay behind and be taken so the others could escape.

Abilities

As a Byakugan wielder, Tokuma commands nearly complete peripheral vision, marred only by a small blind spot near the upper spine, and can see through solid objects while reading the chakra pathway system. Muta Aburame rates his Byakugan the strongest in the clan, and he has trained it specifically for tracking work.

His deployments lean on that talent. In the anime he joined Anko's cell to probe one of Orochimaru's hideouts for Kabuto, passing along word of Danzō's rise and Pain's assault on the village. Following Kabuto's trail of corpses, he scouted ahead and spotted the enemy meeting a masked Akatsuki figure near a hidden passage, and later he uncovered the buried Zetsu army at the Mountains' Graveyard just before the Fourth Shinobi World War broke out. Ordered to fall back, he peeled off to delay a pursuing platoon, was captured and turned against his own allies by Sasori's puppet strings, then freed when Omoi severed the threads and carried him to the medic Kiri to be healed.
