Yōrō

Yoro keeps his black hair short and spiked, set above a pair of small dark eyes. His outfit centers on a deep violet vest, two scrolls fixed to it, layered over a lighter violet turtleneck, while dark green pants finish the ensemble. A blue forehead protector completes his look.

Yoro can loose a storm of shuriken shadow clones at his targets. Because he appears to skip the usual hand seals when doing so, his chakra control is likely exceptional.

Under Shibuki's orders, Yoro and Kegon concealed their jonin rank so they could quietly shield Fu while she sat the Chunin Exams held in Konohagakure. Once the exams began, the trio were scattered into separate rooms for the written portion, with Yoro placed in room 3. Acting as proctor over the monitors, Shikamaru Nara laid out the rule that each participant answered only one question, but a squad's pooled score had to total exactly one hundred to advance. As panic spread, Fu used a transmission technique to tell each teammate which question to take.

After the three-question test, Shikamaru sprang a bonus prompt asking which teammate a squad would abandon as a decoy, a unanimous choice that would disqualify the person named. By declining to answer, Fu's team qualified, which proved correct since the next round demanded every member be present. A preliminary race to Sunagakure was then run to thin the field to thirty teams, and Yoro's group set out first and reached the destination ahead of the pack. At the checkpoint he and Kegon locked Fu in her quarters to keep her out of trouble, though she slipped away regardless; they later collected her after she downed a giant scorpion to rescue Team Asuma. Temari, the second proctor, opened the second phase inside the Demon Desert.

Even after securing both required scrolls, Fu balked at finishing until she had made friends, only relenting when reminded she competed for Shibuki's sake. A violent sandstorm then tore through the area, and Fu bolted toward cries for help, to Yoro's irritation. The team eventually caught up to find Fu and the Kazekage having their tailed beasts drained by the Suna-nin Hoichi. When Team Guy arrived and acknowledged knowing Fu's identity, Yoro and Kegon braced to fight them, only to be caught off guard by Neji's sincere wish to save the pair. Yoro and Kegon harried Hoichi as a diversion while Neji used Gentle Fist to seal off the extraction point, freeing the jinchuriki and turning the chakra chains back on Hoichi. With the threat undone, Yoro laughed along at Neji's embarrassment when Fu asked to be his friend. The exams were cut short before the finals over the disruptions, and afterward Akatsuki's Kakuzu and Hidan hunted the team down to seize Fu, leaving Yoro's fate in that clash unknown.
