History
She and Yukimaru lived in a village that Orochimaru's forces raided during the boy's childhood. Guren, one of the raiders, collapsed during the assault and was tended by Yukimaru's mother; on waking, Guren offered to look away and let her flee out of gratitude. Bound by Orochimaru's commands, though, Guren was later compelled to kill her to keep her master's favor. As the woman fell, her blood spilled across the white camellias nearby, staining their petals red. Years afterward, Guren saw a vision of her conjured by the Three-Tails' mist, and used the moment to voice her sorrow and regret, promising to guard Yukimaru with her own life.
