Gameplay & Modes

Fights are won by draining an opponent's health with basic attacks and character specific special techniques fueled by a chakra gauge, continuing the series' established one on one fighting system. The Wii release supports up to four local players across roughly nine modes and maps some actions to Wii Remote motion controls.

Roster & Story

More than 30 characters are playable, combining series regulars with fighters new to Clash of Ninja. Story mode uses a plot written specifically for the North American release, expanding on anime episodes not previously covered by earlier entries, though only Naruto himself is playable within that story mode.

Release & Reception

Eighting developed the game and Tomy published it. It released in North America on October 23, 2007, in Europe on March 28, 2008, and in Australia on May 8, 2008, without a separate Japanese release. Critics were mixed to positive, praising how well the Wii Remote controls suited the fighting system while noting the core mechanics and presentation had changed little since the GameCube originals.
