Story

Instead of retelling a familiar arc, Revolution 2 builds a standalone plot that never aired in the anime or ran in the manga, giving its cast an excuse to clash in scenarios made just for the game. It still leans on the pre-Shippuden cast and their classic jutsu.

Gameplay

Matches are one-on-one 3D cel-shaded brawls where players drain an opponent's health bar with basic strikes and character-specific special moves. A chakra meter limits how often a fighter can unleash flashier techniques, and a roster of more than thirty characters unlocks gradually through shop purchases and mission rewards.

Reception

Critics generally called the fighting system simple and approachable while faulting a thin selection of unlockable extras compared to rival fighters. The game still earned an IGN nomination for Best Fighting Game on Wii in 2008.
