Gameplay

The game keeps the series' cel-shaded one-on-one combat but adds Senzai Ninriki, later translated as Latent Ninja Powers, where a fighter glows a distinct color once their health drops into crisis range. Naruto's tailed-beast transformation also gains a third tail form for this installment.

Modes

A new Hurricane Clash Mode reworks the story mode into a full 3D beat-em-up perspective, letting players wade through hordes of enemy ninja with movesets retooled specifically for that format, alongside the traditional versus and mission modes.

Release

Eighting developed the game for Takara Tomy, and it launched in Japan in November 2008 without a Western release, continuing the split between the Japan-only Gekitō Ninja Taisen line and the localized Clash of Ninja Revolution titles.
