Kurosuki Family

The Kurosuki Family was a band of criminals put together by Raiga Kurosuki, a former member of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, together with Ranmaru. Based around the Katabami Gold Mine, the group ran the settlement through fear and forced labour.

Karashi's telling casts Raiga as a rescuer who seized the Katabami Gold Mine settlement, drove out its wicked rulers, and freed the residents. The truth ran the opposite way. Once in charge, Raiga pressed the villagers into digging at a nearby mine and had his gang enforce absolute obedience, with anyone who defied his orders buried alive.

The family's grip broke when Naruto Uzumaki and Team Guy came to save the settlement. Every member joined the fighting except Karashi, who fled the instant danger appeared. Trouble first flared as the gang tried to bury Rokusuke, and after the opening clash with Raiga, Karashi resurfaced to help stage an ambush, though the shinobi still overcame the members. With Raiga dead and both Karashi and Ranmaru turning away, the family is presumed to have fallen apart.

Raiga Kurosuki led the gang alongside Ranmaru, with Karashi among the lesser figures. Every fighter wore gloves fitted with retractable tekko kagi claws, and once those blades were extended the members could unleash the Black Tornado technique. After Raiga's fall, the surviving figures went their separate ways.
