Chapter 249 shows Gaara defending Suna against Deidara at the cost of everything he has. As his villagers finally rally behind the Kazekage they once feared, Deidara turns Gaara's own protective sand into a trap.
Struggling loose from the sand pinning him, Deidara realises Gaara draws on two distinct supplies: the broad desert around them and a refined reserve kept for guarding and pinpoint strikes. Down at ground level, the people of Sunagakure watch the aerial duel, and Kankurō recalls how his brother has always meant to shield the village with his own life.
No longer flinching at the sight of Gaara, the crowd cheers him on to bring the enemy down. Deidara exploits the gathering by letting a C3 blast fall toward the settlement. Gaara throws up a barrier to save them, but the distraction nearly costs him, and only his Shield of Sand deflects an incoming clay bomb in time.

Naruto vs Luffy with the twist nobody asked for: Luffy tickled Hinata on date night, and she kind of liked it. We break down the whole fight and commit to a winner....

Naruto built the transformation jutsu himself, and the Hidden Leaf has been quietly not talking about it ever since. The story behind our 90s R&B record about the Naruko question everybody dodges....
Unknown to Gaara, Deidara has planted explosives inside the finer sand he relies on. When they detonate, Gaara spends the last of his strength making certain the scattered sand does not rain down over the whole village, and in that drained state he is taken captive.
