Feelings, Running Wild…!!

When Team 7 tells Temari that the Akatsuki have abducted Gaara, she throws in with them and they hurry toward the Sand Village. Naruto vents his loathing for an organisation that hounds both Gaara and himself simply for being jinchuriki, a cruel fate heaped on people already shunned their whole lives. Temari takes comfort that Naruto can understand her younger brother so well. Sakura, meanwhile, points out that Itachi, the very man Sasuke abandoned everything under Orochimaru to destroy, also stands among the Akatsuki, so thwarting them serves the interests of Naruto and Sasuke alike.

Within the Sand Village, Baki pleads with Chiyo to treat the poisoned Kankuro. She stays indifferent right up until she learns the culprit behind the poison was Sasori, her own grandson.

Temari joins Team 7 in racing back to Sunagakure after hearing of Gaara's capture. Naruto condemns the Akatsuki's pursuit of jinchuriki, and Sakura notes that Itachi's membership ties the group to Sasuke's goals. In the village, Chiyo becomes willing to save Kankuro only after realising Sasori poisoned him.

The chapter belongs to the Kazekage Rescue Mission storyline and was collected in the twenty-eighth volume. Viz Media titled it Feelings Run Wild…!!, matching the surge of emotion driving both the rescue party and Chiyo.
