Kakashi's Sacred Place!!

At a carnival target stall, Kakashi and Guy try their luck while Mirai frets from the sidelines about how much attention the pair draws. She is half relieved when both men whiff every shot, yet baffled that a former Hokage cannot hit anything. Strolling on, Kakashi has his wallet lifted by a pickpocket. He nabs the culprit, but the thief flicks the wallet to an accomplice who bolts, and Mirai gives chase, dropping the runner with the Demonic Illusion: Tree Binding Death.

Back with the two men, she scolds herself for letting the thieves get so near and urges them to stay alert. Kakashi brushes it off, revealing that the wallet was bait: rather than cash, it held only a note gently scolding whoever stole it. Mirai deflates at how pointless her chase turned out to be, and still cannot picture this man ever leading the village.

Losing sight of Kakashi for a moment, Mirai discovers him weeping beside a solitary tree, with a tearful Guy explaining that the spot is holy ground the former Hokage has longed to see for years. She creeps closer to console him, only for Kakashi to gush that this exact tree appears in the movie version of Icha Icha Paradise. Guessing from the title that the book is smut, Mirai still wonders whether Kakashi's favorite read hides real substance, but the two men flatly declare her too young and refuse to even outline the story. Guy pushes an exercise video on her instead, and as the pair bicker over its worth, she muses on whether her late father would have tagged along had he lived.

On the walk back, Mirai overhears Guy sympathizing that only by filing paperwork for a phony classified operation can Kakashi ever slip away on a trip like this. The revelation stings, since the Seventh Hokage handed her this posting rather than keep her as his bodyguard, leaving her to question what that choice says about his faith in her skills.
