Summary
Enormous serpents begin battering the outer defenses of Konoha as the Chunin Exams finals unfold in the arena. When Anbu move to save the Third Hokage, the Fourth Kazekage seizes him and has the Sound Four wall them off with a barrier, shutting out any rescue. Casting aside his disguise, the Kazekage stands revealed as Orochimaru and swears he will slay the Hokage, the master he once served under.
Among the spectators, the handful of Konoha shinobi who resisted the sleep-inducing genjutsu ready themselves to protect the village. Meanwhile Gaara bolts from the stadium with his siblings, and Sasuke gives chase, determined to finish the fight the two of them had started.
