Chapter 341 pays off Naruto's brutal wind training as he outwits Kakuzu with a decoy clone and lands a Rasenshuriken that shreds the immortal's spare hearts.
Understanding that the Rasenshuriken only works within arm's reach, Kakuzu reshapes his own body to keep distance between himself and his attacker. Naruto answers by spinning up the technique again and sending a wave of duplicates rushing forward. Kakuzu waves off the crowd and drives the spinning blade into the Naruto he judges to be genuine.
The gamble backfires. The figure he strikes is only a copy, and the true Naruto has been lurking among the very clones Kakuzu dismissed as harmless. From that opening, Naruto slams a fresh Rasenshuriken home, and the storm of tiny wind edges tears through Kakuzu and rips apart the two extra hearts keeping him alive.
Kakuzu adapts his physiology specifically to counter the close-range limits of the Rasenshuriken. Naruto floods the field with shadow clones as cover and hides his real self within the group Kakuzu ignores. The decoy absorbs Kakuzu's counterattack, leaving him open.
Naruto's second Rasenshuriken connects and destroys two of Kakuzu's reserve hearts, crippling the enemy who had earlier seemed nearly unkillable.
