Summary

Sasuke floats a deal to Boruto: learn the Rasengan and a mentorship follows. Sure it will come to him fast, the boy roots out Konohamaru at dawn and badgers him into coaching the spinning sphere. Sasuke, for his part, replays his report to Naruto about the pair of strangers he glimpsed while hunting Kaguya's scroll, figures he now suspects are kin to the Otsutsuki. Boruto grinds through the tedious drills under Sarada's watchful eye and eventually spins up a tiny orb, only for Sasuke to wave it off as far too small to count. Stung, the boy hurls it aside and stomps away.

Key Events

Sarada scolds Sasuke for being harsh and notes how oddly determined Boruto has become; the crack the discarded orb tore into a tree convinces Sasuke the boy is worth teaching after all. Boruto instead seeks out Katasuke, who hands him a Kote gauntlet. Tucking the device beneath his jacket, he fakes a full-sized Rasengan, and Sasuke, though he plainly spots the trick, keeps quiet and accepts him as a pupil. By a campfire the two talk about Naruto, with Sasuke painting a fuller portrait of the Hokage rather than naming any weakness. Boruto, Sarada, and Mitsuki then regroup to enter the Chunin Exams.
