Kensho Ono

Ono voices Shikadai Nara in Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, the sequel to the original Naruto anime. Outside the franchise he is best known for playing Tetsuya Kuroko in Kuroko's Basketball and Giorno Giovanna in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, and in Japan he provides the dubbed voice of Harry Potter across the film series.

Kensho Ono's most famous role is generally considered Tetsuya Kuroko in the sports anime Kuroko's Basketball. A former child actor born in 1989, he has worked as both a singer and voice actor since 1993, well before taking on Shikadai Nara in the Naruto sequel Boruto.

In the Boruto: Naruto Next Generations sequel series, Ono voices Shikadai Nara, the son of Shikamaru and Temari. Shikadai is a laid-back but sharp-minded strategist who inherits the Nara clan's shadow techniques and joins the new generation of Konoha genin alongside Boruto and Sarada.

Kensho Ono was born in 1989 and began his career as a child actor in 1993. He has worked continuously in the decades since, becoming known in Japan as both a singer and a voice actor.

Beyond voice acting, Kensho Ono is also known as a singer in Japan. He has pursued that dual career since starting out as a child actor in 1993, the same era that eventually led to roles like Tetsuya Kuroko in Kuroko's Basketball.
