Personality

Loss and treachery hardened Adio into a vengeful figure. After his own navigator poisoned him and arranged to hand him to the World Government, he swore to make the world that had ruined his people suffer for it. He is coldly manipulative, exploiting the priestess Lim's loneliness to bend her to his scheme and later shooting her without hesitation once she had served her purpose. Even in defeat he clung to his ambition of tearing down the existing order and building a new world from the ruins, refusing to surrender the goal.

Abilities

The World Government regards Adio as a grave danger, having placed a bounty exceeding two billion on him, a sum on par with the world's most wanted. He once came to blows with a member of the Four Emperors, wrecking half of that crew's fleet and beating one of its allies, which deepened the government's fear of him. In his climactic duel with Luffy he kept the advantage through most of the fight, even meeting Luffy's King Kong Gun head on for a mutual knockout. His chief weapons are a pair of large pistols he handles with great skill. He wields the Kote Kote no Mi, classed Paramecia, which conjures massive gauntlets able to seize and manipulate any non-living object. By seizing the Divine Breath, an ancient weapon, he gained the strength to scatter most of an approaching Buster Call fleet on his own.
