History
When Michael and Hoichael stopped the children's caretaker from attacking Zoro, Ayako and the other orphans emerged from hiding to greet their new big brother. They brought him home and put him to work on chores. Trouble came while they were out shopping, as loan sharks seized the family and hauled them to a rooftop where Mikazuki confronted them. Ayako and the others were rescued once Hoichael fetched Zoro. Back home, they said their goodbyes to the swordsman, but when he left still wearing a shirt a baby had soiled and washed, the whole family ended up chasing him through the streets while he, assuming they wanted him to stay, simply kept running.
