History
Well before the present events, Baggaley grew into a feared figure throughout the New World and formed an alliance with Whitebeard, a tie that reflects his standing among pirates. As the execution of Ace drew near at Marineford, he and his crew sided with the Whitebeard Pirates in the effort to rescue him. He turned up beside Wallem when the Marines declared that the hour of the execution had been moved up, and a gun was in his hand at the moment Akainu struck Ace down.
