Byron

A tall, heavily built figure, Byron stands well over six feet and carries considerable weight on his frame. His blond hair grows out long and untidy, paired with notably thick, oversized brows and a modest beard. A scar travels across his face, running from his forehead down toward one eye. For clothing he favors a dark coat over a red vest, with a pale scarf-like wrap at the neck, brown trousers, and a strip of orange cinched across them.

The little that surfaces about Byron comes from his moment on the auction block. He carried himself with a mix of resentment and humiliation over having been seized and reduced to property. Even so, he kept silent and showed no visible reaction as buyers placed their bids on him, absorbing the indignity without protest.

Byron hails from Toroa, a town in the West Blue, and his bloodline reaches back through generations of musicians. He himself could handle a range of instruments, and he was reputedly talented at producing fine wine as well. At some point he was captured and delivered to the Human Auctioning House during the events around Sabaody Archipelago. Bidding opened at a modest 480,000 Berries, and the final price reached at least 550,000, though the exact figure stayed unconfirmed in the manga. The anime instead fixed the sale at 600,000. Whether he later won his freedom alongside the slaves who escaped, or stayed in bondage, was never revealed.
