Appearance

Cerberus carried three heads atop one stitched-together body, a pair of dogs flanking a single fox. The canine portions were covered in blue fur while the fox's side was yellow, and it sported three yellow tails, one of them tipped in white. Like every creature on Thriller Bark, its hide was crossed with sutures and scars, and its number, 82, was inked on the right flank. Bandages wrapped much of its neck, the fox's left eye, several of its legs, and its torso, while a red spiked collar circled it.

Personality

By nature it was hostile, lunging at Nami, Usopp, and Chopper and later at the rest of the crew, though it turned timid the moment Luffy threatened to eat it and grew obedient once tamed. The fox head nursed an odd complex about not being a dog, happily playing along with its canine siblings until Chopper pointed out the difference and sent it into a furious sulk.

History

Cerberus owed its existence to a shadow that Moria implanted into it using the Kage Kage no Mi, and years before the Straw Hats came it had already chased Brook through Thriller Bark. Posted at the island gate, it harried Nami, Usopp, and Chopper, then snarled at the wider crew until Luffy's appetite frightened it into submission. When it bit him, Luffy calmly slugged it into a wall and tamed it, after which the swift, fanged beast meekly carried him deeper into the island before abandoning the group at a graveyard. It later watched Oars fall, and like its fellow zombies it perished once Moria reclaimed the shadow keeping it alive.
