Delacuaji

Large and rounded with an oddly shaped body, Delacuaji keeps most of himself wrapped in a chartreuse robe whose ruffled sleeves and hood leave only his face and hands on show. His round face carries dark lips, concentric rings circling his eyes, a black goatee, and widely spaced teeth reminiscent of Bluejam's. A pale blue scarf fastened by three linked jewels, a brown vest, and a captain's hat matching his robe and bearing a small skull complete the outfit, and he keeps a saber on hand.

Few details of his nature are known beyond a deep loyalty to Whitebeard, shown by his willingness to gamble his own life trying to save Ace rather than escape through the opening Whitebeard's powers had cleared. He is frequently depicted with a smile on his face.

Delacuaji built a fearsome reputation across the New World and rose to become one of Whitebeard's subordinates, a standing that speaks to real strength. He fights as a swordsman, and while the precise measure of his skill is never demonstrated, it is presumed considerable. At Marineford he and his crew arrived among a fleet of forty-two infamous crews assaulting the base to free Ace, and he kept close to Monkey D. Luffy, watching the young pirate press toward the scaffold with the aid of the Choki Choki no Mi. Once the Red Hair Pirates appeared and Sengoku ended the war, the surviving pirates were allowed to depart. Non-canon material later places him among the attendees at Whitebeard and Ace's funeral.
