Appearance

Curly black hair and a beard whose lines reach up toward his eyes mark Doma's face, and a sizeable red headband sits across his brow. Around his neck hangs a chain set with large pale-blue square gems, while a scar shows on the lower right of his throat. Closed at the front by a belt, his garment is a long coat in light brown trimmed at the collar, which is broad and dark red, and at the cuffs. Beneath it he wears slack blue trousers pushed down into plain boots.

A monkey rides on his shoulder, typically coiling its prehensile tail about his arm. The animal also handles a flintlock pistol, discharging it for Doma once fighting begins.

Personality

Doma's devotion to Whitebeard stands out above all else. Rather than escape along the route his captain had opened with the Gura Gura no Mi, he chose to gamble his life on freeing Ace, and he cheered loudly when Whitebeard urged his allies onward. The fall of Whitebeard left him weeping in grief. The anime additionally portrays a man who can honor a worthy foe, telling Momonga that crossing blades with him was an honor.
