Ginger is an anime-original Cidre Guild officer who commands its Carbonic Acid Fire Unit. A bounty hunter loyal to Cidre, he clashes with Luffy and Boa Hancock during the Cidre Guild Arc before Hancock turns him to stone.
Short yet powerfully stocky, Ginger has tanned skin and blonde dreadlocks bound by a red bandana, with yellow sunglasses above and a scar marking the area by his right elbow. He goes shirtless, wearing only green pauldrons and broad metal hoops at his wrists; pipes link those hoops to a pair of barrels on his back, each barrel mounting a cannon that swings down over his shoulder. Two chest straps secure the barrel rig and carry ammunition pouches, and he rounds the look off with baggy gray trousers and black boots.
Devotion to Cidre and the guild drives Ginger, who tackles his assignments with confidence and resolve while regarding the pirates he hunts with contempt. Like nearly every man, he proved helpless before Boa Hancock and started behaving foolishly, yet his loyalty to Cidre's cause won out over desire and let him recover his senses; he even reined in his subordinates briefly, though they soon gave in again and were petrified. He also carries his own laughing style, "Gingingin."
Commanding the Carbonic Acid Fire Unit, Ginger holds authority over its lower-ranked members, and like the rest of the group he rides a hippopotamus-like beast that obeys him and crosses the mountains with ease. He managed to take down the Gorgon Sisters his subordinates could not handle and reach the Hancock they guarded. His arsenal centers on two carbonated-water cannons mounted on his back, plus a device that vents carbon dioxide to let him hover over land or sea and gloves fitted with torpedoes. His techniques include Cho Shigeki Tornado Tansan, twin streams of red and yellow soda that braid into a drilling tornado; the Super Concentrated Deluxe CO2 Gas, a toxic burst released by pressing two gauntlets together; and Carbonated Torpedoes that travel underwater to strike ships from below. During the arc he and Guarana shelled the Thousand Sunny until the crew escaped with Coup de Burst, after which he pursued Luffy on the island, drove him into a sinkhole, and gassed the bathhouse where the Gorgon Sisters fought. Returning later alongside Cidre and Guarana, he took Hancock's Perfume Femur head-on and was petrified into stone.

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....
