Golass

Golass is a hulking, powerfully built man whose look strongly evokes Native American imagery. He carries an oversized blade suited to his size.

Reserved to the point of near silence, Golass barely speaks, though he lets loose battle cries during combat. He comes across as greedy, much like his employer Eldoraggo, which is why the pirate hands him gold coins before issuing each order. Zoro, however, perceived a hidden truth beneath the surface: that Golass takes no real pleasure in fighting for money and harbors deep shame in himself as a swordsman.

Golass possesses tremendous physical might, able to shatter a giant boulder with a single swing and to drive Zoro back during their clash, feats that earned him a bounty of eight million Berries, a fearsome sum within the calm waters of the East Blue where he operates. Wielding a large katana, he is a capable swordsman, yet he proved no match for Zoro. The two dueled before reaching Woonan's house, and although Golass lost, Zoro spared him after sensing that he had no wish to fight for coin, inviting him to return for a rematch should he ever rediscover his swordsmanship. He was last seen being carried off by Eldoraggo's crew, his fate afterward unknown.
