Island Eater

This was a fish of staggering proportions, matching even the largest Sea Kings in scale. It took the form of an ordinary red and white goldfish blown up to monstrous size, with bulging eye sockets and a gaping mouth lined by oversized teeth.

Almost nothing is recorded of its temperament beyond its reputation for extreme ferocity, which earned it a place among the most dangerous creatures of the seas.

Its immense bulk let it gulp down whole ships and even entire islands, and the waste it left behind grew so vast that it became known as Nanimonai Island. The creature was rated a Type C beast under the dreaded Big Savage class. It surfaced just as the Straw Hats were sailing away from Little Garden and swallowed the Going Merry whole. Before it could do further harm, Dorry and Brogy cut it down together with their mightiest strike, Hakoku. The fish stands as one more case of Usopp's wild lies coming true, since he had once invented a tale about a giant goldfish.
