Kerojii

Appearance

Kerojii was a tiny old man with a small nose, a creased brow, and beady eyes, set off by a sweeping white beard and thick white brows. He dressed in burgundy overalls over a dusky peach shirt, geta sandals, and white gloves, layering a burgundy and cream coat with a zig-zag pattern on top. His frog cap, colored yellow and red, sprouted a plant shoot, and its worried-looking eyes hinted at his ruthless drive to wreck relationships.

Personality

Old-fashioned in outlook, Kerojii fancied himself and his companions far wiser than the Straw Hats simply because of their years. Beneath that pride lay the same viciousness as his crewmates, taking pleasure in watching other crews fracture. Yet he held genuine warmth for his own, deeply grateful that Omatsuri still remembered them after death. He laughed in the Wise Men's shared Kerokerokero cadence and bonded closely with his partner Keroko.

Abilities

Despite his withered look, Kerojii moved with the vigor of a far younger man, strong and remarkably nimble as he sprang around Zoro and Sanji while taunting them. He flung playing cards and flicked his geta sandals as thrown weapons to wound and distract foes, and he drove a speedboat with great skill alongside Keroko. Years earlier he sailed the Grand Line with the Red Arrows Pirates during Roger's age, perished with the crew in a storm, and was brought back by the Lily Carnation. In the race he and Keroko tormented Nami and Usopp, and he tricked Nami into thinking Usopp had abandoned her. He later cornered Zoro and Sanji on a cramped boat, but Usopp swooped in and smashed a five-ton hammer onto his head. When the Lily Carnation fell, he turned into a plant and thanked his captain from the afterlife.
