History

The full extent of Kukai's combat skill is never spelled out, though he carries a sword and was, like the rest of the Spade Pirates, swept aside by Newgate. He signed on with Ace as the captain built his name, helping fend off bounty hunters and surrounding the Marine ensign Isuka when she slipped aboard, only for her to brush them off. At Sabaody he and his crewmates sneaked a look at Deuce's diary and laughed at the writing, earning their exclusion from its pages. The crew was later wrecked in Wano, where they befriended Tama at Amigasa Village. When Ace fought Jinbe, Kukai warned him of the fish-man's power, and after the clash he and the others defended Ace against Whitebeard, lost, and were taken into the Whitebeard Pirates. He has not been seen since.
