Appearance

Loki is an immense giant, reckoned to rival Oars in size, with long magenta hair worn in two thick front braids while the back hangs messy. His lanky, well-built frame features long legs and muscular arms covered in red tattoos, and he carries a pointed goatee plus a metal shell over his nose, often letting his tongue loll as he talks. Ancient Giant blood from his father gave him a pair of long black horns, the left one bound by a wrapping, and his eyes have slit pupils set in black sclera, a trait no other giant shares. Dressed in Viking fashion, he wears a wide-rimmed black helmet pierced by his horns, dark gloves, boots, a purple fluffy cape, and a crowned Jolly Roger belt, with his eyes kept under bandages since childhood.

Personality

Loki carries himself as a brash, jovial, and self-assured warrior walking his own road, fancying himself a destroyer who answers problems with violence. He upholds Elbaph's old warmongering ways and long resisted his father Harald's push toward pacifism, drawing inspiration instead from Rocks D. Xebec's dream of toppling the world order. Believing himself the strongest in all Elbaph, he fears no one and pursues revenge against any who wrong him, yet he is also a cunning trickster willing to bluff, deal, or intimidate to reach his ends. Beneath the bluster lies a deep hunger for family love denied to him at birth by Estrid; he gave up on love within months of life and even tried to kill himself as a child. Over time he came to value the affection of Harald and his foster mother Ida, repaying it through deeds rather than words, and he weeps openly when he loses those he holds dear. He laughs in a distinctive style, Dogahaha.

History

Born sixty-three years ago in Aurust Castle, Loki was cast into the Underworld as an infant by his mother Estrid, who was repulsed by his face, yet he survived and climbed the Treasure Tree Adam back up. Raised by an abusive uncle during Harald's absences at sea, he grew into a rampaging child who terrorized Elbaph's villages and bullied his half-brother Hajrudin. His meeting with Rocks D. Xebec gave him purpose after he overheard the pirate's plan for world conquest, and he idolized Rocks until learning of his death at God Valley, weeping at the news. Years later, the World Government corrupted Harald into a weapon against his own people; on the day of his father's death, Loki acquired the legendary Ryu Ryu no Mi, Model: Nidhöggr and the warhammer Ragnir, then struck down the immortal Harald with a Supreme King Haki-infused blow, the only time such immortality has been fully overridden.

Choosing silence to protect Harald's name, Loki let Elbaph believe he was a murderer and set out to sea, sinking Marine and Government ships and earning a unique bounty placed at 2,600,000,000 Berries. He briefly professed love for Charlotte Lola, whose flight foiled Big Mom's arranged marriage. Captured by Shanks six years before the present, he was chained in Seastone within the Underworld until Luffy and Hajrudin freed him during the Elbaph Arc. After persuading Hajrudin of the truth behind Harald's death, Loki turned his power against the Knights of God, crushed Shepherd Sommers, and clashed repeatedly with Nerona Imu, freezing him with Niflheim and battling him in his colossal Nidhöggr dragon form. His arsenal spans Supreme King and Observation Haki, lightning and ice attacks channeled through Ragnir, and a Mythical Zoan transformation into the world's largest dragon.
