Personality

Measured against the ferocity typical of Sea Kings, this one comes across as remarkably good-natured, displaying little urge to hunt or to assail others. A wild animal it nonetheless remains, and once gripped by pain it will lash out at anything within its sight.

History

As a Sea King it ranks among the seas' fiercest predators and strongest swimmers, quick and powerful enough in the water to give even Luffy and Law real trouble, its mere presence keeping the Thousand Sunny and the Polar Tang off the shore. At some point a katana wedged itself into its throat and kept stabbing at its insides. The pain drove the beast into a fury, and it began assaulting everything nearby, sealing ships away from Wano's coast and leaving Luffy and Law stranded on the island.

The creature eventually reached the beach where the two pirates waited and lunged at them, granting Law a look at the embedded blade. Using Scan, he verified the katana and passed word to Luffy. Luffy then sprang up and connected with Gomu Gomu no Elephant Gun, knocking the katana loose and briefly rendering the Sea King unconscious. With its agony gone, the creature returned to the ocean and waved its tail in gratitude as it swam away.
