Margarita

Margarita is a young woman of ordinary build, marked by freckles across her face, dark blue eyes, and wavy light-brown hair gathered into a ponytail. When introduced, she has on the maid uniform that goes with her job.

For years a deep loathing of plates defined her, a grudge rooted in a painful episode with the man she had been set to marry. That bitterness carried over into the zombie Cindry, who hosted her stolen shadow. By the time her shadow returns to her, Margarita has moved past the hatred. She comes across as modest and tender-hearted, breaking into grateful tears when her master shows no anger over the dishes she shattered.

Years earlier she was promised in marriage to a man of wealth. Wanting proof of his devotion, she smashed ten plates from a dinner service he treasured, and the gesture backfired: the wedding was canceled and she was turned out of his home. Twelve years before the present, Moria seized her shadow and slotted it into Victoria Cindry's body, after which Margarita took work as a maid in Egana's manor. Once Moria fell and her shadow rejoined her, she fumbled and dropped a few of her employer's prized plates, yet he was simply glad to see her whole again and celebrated alongside her.
