MocDonald

MocDonald began as an ordinary tree that gained life once a shadow was sealed within it. The trunk bore a vaguely human face featuring a long nose and a wide mouth, while a pair of human hands extended from it. In place of feet, roots served as legs, and a small shrub grew near their base.

An easygoing streak ran through MocDonald, who was content to share drinks with Unigaro. That calm vanished around Luffy and his crew, though, as he grew petrified with fear and begged the captain to simply pass him by.

During the Thriller Bark arc, Nami, Usopp, and Chopper first spotted MocDonald while riding through the island in a carriage, finding him among a band of creatures chanting about 'prey'. Later, the rest of the Straw Hats, out searching for their missing crewmates, came upon him and Unigaro enjoying drinks; Luffy seized him and invited the pair to join up, only for MocDonald to plead to be left alone.

In anime-only scenes he cheered on the dancing graveyard zombies, then fled along with the others when an out-of-control Oars, powered by Luffy's stolen shadow, rampaged across Thriller Bark, getting swept off in the flood Oars caused. After Oars fell, MocDonald shared the crowd's worry, then cheered when Moria rose again. He finally collapsed back into a lifeless corpse once Gecko Moria absorbed every shadow on the island.
