A central figure of the Heart of Gold special, Myskina Olga is a girl native to the lost island of Alchemi. Frozen at the age of six for two hundred years by the Pure Gold, she falls in with the Straw Hats while chasing that same legendary treasure.
Olga has lived for 206 years, yet the Pure Gold has held her in a six-year-old's body across the last two centuries. She stands tall for that apparent age, with long wavy blonde hair topped by a red bow, large red eyes, and a frequent toothy expression. For clothing she wears a purple dress over dark leggings and pale high heels, with Alchemi's symbol marking the dress along its left side.
Descriptions cast Olga as crude, immature, jaded, and headstrong, and at the start she is greedy and conniving, scheming to use the Straw Hats to reach the Pure Gold. Two centuries cut off from company explain much of it, having eroded her grasp of friendship and ordinary dealings. Her lying is so poor that Usopp calls it out, since she pulls outlandish faces or says the reverse of what she means. She also blurts her plots aloud before the very people she means to dupe, then feigns enormous shock when they note they can hear her. Cute things win her over, and she hugged Chopper the instant she saw him. Family is dear to her, and a long resentment toward her father over her mother's death faded once she understood his real aims and reconciled in tears. As old as she is, she still dreads needles like any child.
Born on Alchemi to Myskina Acier and Livia, Olga had a happy childhood until the deadly South Blue Emperor Fever struck her. Her father answered with the Pure Gold, a metal that halted her aging and warded off the disease, given to her in a ring when she turned six. Because the treasure was coveted, an attack to seize it killed her mother, and Olga, ignorant of its purpose, faulted Acier and hurled her ring into the sea. The giant footballfish Bonbori then rose to swallow the ring and with it nearly the whole of Alchemi, including both of them. Cut off from her father and presuming him dead, she spent 200 years within Bonbori's gut surviving on fish and fruit before accidentally getting free, only for the Marines, who were after the Pure Gold for the World Nobles, to seize her.
In Heart of Gold, Mad Treasure assaults the Marine fleet carrying her, and Olga bolts on her water lizard Elizabeth. Starving, she happens upon the Thousand Sunny, plays unconscious, then holds a knife to Luffy demanding provisions, though the crew refuses to take her seriously and simply feeds her. Robin spots the Alchemi mark on her shirt, and Nami talks the reluctant girl into accepting the crew's help. After Treasure's gang fights a tug-of-war over her, her ring slips away and Bonbori swallows it anew, drawing everyone into the fish. She steers Brook through a musical trap by singing the tune she once shared with her parents, reunites with Acier, and learns why he made the Pure Gold, which overwhelms her with emotion. Once Luffy defeats Treasure, daughter and father patch things up and escape as Bonbori vomits the crew out. Parting from the Straw Hats, she accepts that her illness may return, but Chopper reveals a cure now exists and treats her in spite of her dread of needles. She and Acier then resume an ordinary life and earn a fortune selling his miracle drug.

When I first decided to commit to watching One Piece seriously, I knew I was embarking on one of anime's longest and most beloved series. With over 100...

The transformation everyone knows, the follow-up question nobody would touch. Why we made a smooth R&B track about the golden glow Dragon Ball never talks about....

No, Heart of Gold, the special that introduces Myskina Olga, is a non-canon story outside the main One Piece continuity.
Olga is 206 years old chronologically, though the Pure Gold has kept her body physically frozen at six years old.
Olga blamed her father Myskina Acier for her mother Livia's death because she did not understand that the Pure Gold he created to save her life was also what drew the raiders who killed her mother, and she only reconciled with him after learning the truth.
