Otogin is a bounty hunter posing as a Nanohana merchant in the non-canon game One Piece Odyssey. The younger brother of Anikin, he reluctantly works for his sibling's gang until the Straw Hats help him pull Anikin back from a path of robbery.
Standing tall and well-muscled with tan skin, Otogin has slanting brown eyebrows and a round tattoo marking his right shoulder. His outfit is sparse: a brown shoulder pad, brown straps joined by a golden ring at the center, and a grey fez crowning his head.
Conscience sets Otogin apart from the company he keeps. Though he took up bounty hunting out of sheer desperation, he grew deeply uneasy once his brother's crew drifted from catching pirates toward robbing innocent wealthy people. That discomfort drives much of his story, as he ultimately seeks outside help to stop the cruelty rather than go along with it.
As children, Otogin and his brother Anikin were so poor they nearly starved, and out of necessity the pair became bounty hunters, handing pirates over to the Marines. Success drew shadier companions to Anikin, who slid toward preying on rich civilians for their money, a turn that troubled Otogin greatly. In One Piece Odyssey he remained in Nanohana, fronting as a merchant on the orders of his brother's underlings. He handed the Straw Hat Pirates a poisonous mushroom as instructed, urging Zoro to eat and praise it, then slipped away to tell the other hunters the plan was working.
When the bounty hunters ambushed Usopp guarding the downed Zoro, Otogin watched from the edges, stunned as Luffy and Usopp routed them. He began to explain himself before the Straw Hats were yanked out of the Hysteria. Later, found again while being berated by the hunters, he laid bare his history and begged the pirates to beat sense into his brother. They confronted Anikin at Nanohana, and after defeating him and his men, Anikin confessed he simply felt too far gone to turn back, leaving Otogin to thank the crew for their help.
